Congratulations Naomi for being the Trauma Informed Practitioner for April 2024.

Naomi is a social worker in one of Rhondda Cynon Taf's​ Intensive Intervention Teams. Naomi was nominated as a Trauma Informed Practitioner for her ability to adjust the way she currently practices to meet the underlying needs of young people based on their trauma history.

​Naomi provides some fantastic examples, and tips of how to talk with young people to ensure they understand information on their level, and account for the impact of shame and feeling blamed due to their trauma history.
